Next Steps

You’ve made your deposit on a new fence, now what?

We know you are excited for your new fence installation, but there are a few steps in the process. There are many variables when it comes to fence installation, such as weather, permit approvals, material delays, and our schedule. For this reason, we are not able to give a definitive date of installation upon deposit. We try to give at least 24 hour notice before we begin installation after all the steps have been completed as detailed below.

Disclaimer: Timeframes may vary. Most installations take place within 30-45 days of deposit with some exceptions. We can place a "rush" on the project if all necessary paperwork and deposit is received. Please ask a representative for details. Additional fees may apply for rush jobs.

Please note: the clock starts when we have all of the paperwork and deposit.

Step 1

CONTRACT SIGNATURE & DEPOSIT

Day 1-2

Sign the online agreement/quote through the online portal. Look out for the email in your junk folder. If you have questions about our terms & conditions, please contact us directly.

If paying by credit card, your information is automatically stored (securely) for final payment. If paying by ACH or check, a payment form must be signed (by you) and completed with your representative. Please ensure the payment form is filled out completely. This is important for final payment on the project.

We cannot proceed to the next steps with your project until the payment form is on file.

Step 2

PLAT OF SURVEY SUBMITTAL

Day 1-4

Submit your plat of survey to us, if you haven’t already. This is used for the city permit. We handle the entire permit process on your behalf.

After you provide us with your plat of survey, we will send it back to you via email marked up for your approval. Once approved, it is sent directly to the city for their approval.

Step 3

MATERIAL ORDERING (IF APPLICABLE)

Day 3-5

If you have special order materials such as specialty vinyl, composite, or railing this is the point when your material will be placed on order. Material times can vary based on manufacturer and style.

Step 4

PERMIT SUBMITTAL

Day 5-10

We submit the permit to the village. Turnaround times may vary. Typical times are 1-2 weeks max. For unincorporated county permits, typical turnaround times are 4-8 weeks.

Step 5

SCHEDULE JULIE MARKINGS

Day 10-15

JULIE is called by us to mark your underground lines. Please ensure any private lines are disclosed and marked prior to us beginning work. JULIE will not mark any private sprinkler, drainage, or electrical lines. The new JULIE policy states that all fence locations must be marked via spray paint, which we take care of prior to install.

Step 6

VERIFY JULIE MARKINGS

Day 15-30

Installation is almost ready! Once the JULIE flags are in your yard, please let us know. JULIE markings are only valid for 2 weeks so we will need to start the install, otherwise it will need to be remarked again.

Step 7

FINAL INSTALLATION

Day 30-45

Installation takes place if all the aforementioned steps have been completed. Once your installation is complete, final payment will be charged electronically. Now its time to enjoy your new fence!

Please be sure to leave us a positive review on Google and Facebook :)
